We’re [Ash + Jack] a filmmaking two-piece, Reckless Abandon Media. We’ve been following the breadcrumbs of the cinematic masters since 2016. Our goal is to produce films that incorporate meticulous craftsmanship, our own aesthetic style and method, and a fair representation of the source content. Alongside this, we wish to make high-quality video production accessible to passionate, ethically-conscious entrepreneurs, micro-businesses, artists and all other positive causes.
We believe that our videos are finely brewed. As is the nature of creative work, you simply can’t find our product anywhere else. The fundamental parts of our films are exactly the same as our peers, however, the customisable characteristics of our films are considerably different. Every film is infused with our house style and aesthetic adapting to our collaborators’ flavour, story and heart. It’s in fact this relationship between our aesthetic style and our collaborators’ content that creates a rich and colourfully unique film at the end. It may not be everyone’s taste, but that’s the beauty of video.
We should probably mention something about the name. When it comes to the creative process, we like to approach it with an element of reckless abandon; that anything is possible. Now, obviously each project is both financially constrained and time-bound, so there will always be limits. However, it is from the viewpoint of reckless abandon that allows us to be truly free when delivering on our creative promise and telling your stories.
